PADDLING TRIP

As of 3-7-11 "Buddies" Paddling Trip scheduled for 3-19-11 is FULL.

Lake Oswego to Harrisville
RIVER: Oswego River
LENGTH OF TRIP: 4 Hours

MEET AT: BHP; Green Bank
CHECK IN: 9:00 am
DEPARTURE: 9:30 am
COST: $10.00 per boat; Private Transport
$15.00 per Rental Single Kayak
$20.00 per Rental Double Kayak
$20.00 per Rental Canoe
NOTES: 
  • BHP will provide round trip transportation.
  • Light refreshments served.
  • NEW: Limited Availability. BHP will accept a maximum of thirty (30) confirmed reservations for this paddling trip.
  • Please cancel no later than 48-24 hours in advance of trip.
    Allowing our waiting list paddlers an opportunity to participate.

YELLOW = Moderate
  • PLEASE self evaluate your paddling skills appropriately for this trip.
  • For the more experienced social paddler.
  • EARLY SPRING air temperatures; possible wind.
  • Water temperatures are colder than air. 
  • Swifter currents, possible wind & portages.
  • Early spring seasonal landscape.

  • Dress for EARLY SPRING weather paddling conditions.
  • Pack extra set of clothing preferably in a dry bag.
  • Layer on "proper" apparel; NO COTTON. NO SHORTS.
    Neoprene or synthetic dry tops/jackets, rash guards, pants, &
    gloves     STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
  • Whistle & tow rope advised.
  • Feel free to bring snacks & beverages.

MISSION STATEMENT

"A social paddlesport community; with a Point of View!"

Bel Haven "Buddies" is an informal group of BHP customers and friends with a common interest in paddling the scenic and ecologically diverse rivers and lakes of South Jersey. 

BHP’s management is delighted to facilitate the adventures of Bel Haven "Buddies" by bringing the group together with able historians, photographers, astronomers, environmentalists, naturalists, fishermen and others for paddling tours with a point of view. 

Typically, BHP provides transportation of paddlers and their boats (private and/or rentals) from the Green Bank store to the put-ins and back from the take-outs for a very nominal fee.

Add to your enjoyment of paddling in the Pinelands with those who know and are happy to share the forest and rivers from their unique perspectives.

Weeknight and/or weekend group paddling trips. Please inform us of your paddling preferences so that we may organize a "Bel Haven Buddies" experience!
